Broadcast campaigns

Send an approved template to a list of recipients, with scheduling and automatic opt-out handling.

Growth and Scale

A campaign sends one approved template to many people. Because it starts conversations, it must use a template — see the 24-hour window.

Creating one

Choose the WhatsApp connection and an approved template

Only approved templates appear, and only ones belonging to the connection you picked.

Upload your audience as a CSV

Recipients come from a CSV upload. Include the phone number in international format, plus a column for each template variable you need to fill.

Fill in the template variables

Either a fixed value for everyone, or mapped from a CSV column.

Send now, or schedule it

A scheduled campaign is dispatched by a background worker at the time you set — you do not have to be logged in.

Opt-outs are handled for you

Contacts on the suppression list are excluded automatically. You do not have to clean your list by hand, and you cannot accidentally message someone who has asked you to stop.

Before you send a large one

Check your messaging limit first

A campaign larger than your daily limit will not fully deliver, and a badly targeted one damages your quality rating and can cut your limit further. See Messaging limits and quality rating.

  • Send only to people who opted in.
  • Test on a handful of numbers before the full run.
  • Watch the first few minutes. If blocks spike, stop it.

Progress and results

The campaign page shows sent, failed and remaining counts as it runs. Failed sends record the reason Meta gave, so you can tell a bad number from a template problem from a limit problem.

Replies land in the inbox as ordinary conversations — and each reply opens a 24-hour window in which you can talk freely.
